here is a close-up shot of the lap afghan i made for my best friend. it's made from malabrigo yarn, the shade is vaa....dark green with some blue. very simple, but soft as can be.

and here's a photo gary took of me sleeping with peedy at my side. this is how he usually sleeps if his head isn't on 'his' green pillow. he likes his comfort!

work is going well. got a bonus last month, and will get one again this month. the bonus is equivalent to a weeks pay (some months more), so it really helps to get bills paid. the other week i got bit by the dorothy parker bug, so i picked up a biography on her and a collection of her stories and poems. i've been trying to stick with the library for my books, but i had a feeling these would take awhile to read, so i'm better off spending the money so i can read at my leisure. couple months ago i got 'anansi boys' by neil gaiman at the library (great book!), and it took me 9 weeks to finish it. i was only getting to read it at work at lunch, so it took forever. i should have just bought it. and we just got done watching the final season of '6 feet under'...got it thru netflix. i like how they ended the series.....you got some closure in the final 10 minutes.

Hi! Found your site while surfing instead of working. Just wanted to say I, too, have used the Malabrigo for a blanket in the exact. same. pattern.

Cute cat!

Karyn! Hooray you're back! Being the dingbat that I am, I thought that you were already in Las Vegas! I check your site daily and since you've been away I figured that 1. you were on an amazing vacation or 2. you actually have a life away from your computer that keeps you busy (unlike some of us). Someday I'll have to buy some of the famous Malabrigo, I hear such rave reviews about it. Pet Peedy for me. Love Heide

I love that pattern you used for the afghan. I've used it for a couple items as well...I love that it looks so hard yet is so easy and non-complicated to knit up!
